The actor Do Ji-won, who filled the screen with a strong presence, shared her thoughts on the conclusion of 'Buried Hearts'.
The SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Buried Hearts' (written by Lee Myeong-hee, directed by Jin Chang-kyu, produced by Studio S, A2Z Entertainment, and Purmir Workshop), which kept viewers on the edge of their seats until the end, concluded on Jan. 12, revealing Do Ji-won's closing remarks showcasing her irreplaceable acting skills.
'Buried Hearts' is a drama that depicts Seo Dong-joo (played by Park Hyung-sik) betting his life on revenge against an ultimate evil that killed him, hacking the 2 trillion won political slush fund, while Do Ji-won portrayed the role of 'Ji Young-soo', a former popular announcer who officially became the wife of Chairman Cha Gang-cheon (Woo Hyun) in the latter part and joined the Daesan Group.
Do Ji-won perfectly embodied a multifaceted character with a complicated inner self, showcasing an increasingly cold gaze and a relaxed tone, thereby enhancing the quality of the work. Additionally, as the story progressed, she gradually unveiled deep-rooted desires, controlling the flow of the narrative and providing a subtle tension between characters.
In the meantime, Do Ji-won expressed her reflections on completing the work through her agency, Namoo Actors. She noted, “The director's smile, who said he was grateful to be able to work together on 'Buried Hearts' during our first meeting, has remained precious in my heart, and I too feel thankful now that I have finished the drama, as if I had found 'Buried Hearts.' The seasons I spent with 'Buried Hearts' were unforgettable times.”
She continued, “Every time I complete a work, there are always mixed emotions, but thanks to everyone who enjoyed this one, I can face the end with a happy heart. Once again, I thank the director, the writer, all the hard-working staff, fellow actors, and finally, the viewers who accompanied the journey of the drama,” and concluded her remarks with heartfelt gratitude.
Meanwhile, Do Ji-won, who proved her solid acting skills through 'Buried Hearts', is reviewing her next project.
