In the 'New Recruit,' Kim Min-ho and Nam Tae-woo confront fears that trigger PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).

The production team of the Genie TV original drama 'New Recruit' (directed by Min Jin-ki and Jo Je-wook, written by Yoon Ki-young and Kang Go-eun, based on the work by Jang Ppiju, planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by A2Z Entertainment and Story Island) revealed on the 14th the crisis faced by Park Min-seok (played by Kim Min-ho) and Choi Il-goo (played by Nam Tae-woo). It raises curiosity about what changes the tearful prayers of Sung Yoon-mo (played by Kim Hyun-kyu) will bring to the living quarters and what incidents will occur for the veteran soldier Nam Tae-woo.

In the previous broadcast, a new recruit with a trashy scent, Moon Bit-nari (played by Kim Yo-han), appeared in the living quarters. Reminiscent of Park Min-seok's time as a new recruit, Moon Bit-nari started her military life with a rite of passage by delivering an uppercut to the veteran soldier Choi Il-goo and made a series of mistakes. The return of Sung Yoon-mo, who was acquitted due to insufficient evidence along with two new recruits with different art styles, turned the Myth Unit upside down. However, contrary to concerns, Sung Yoon-mo secretly helped Moon Bit-nari and surprised everyone with a changed demeanor of apologizing with tears of reflection.

With military life expected to increase in difficulty, the released photos hint at yet another upheaval. Park Min-seok, looking shocked at something that is hard to believe, points with his finger at Sung Yoon-mo. Sung Yoon-mo is seen earnestly raising tearful prayers, reflecting on past mistakes, which is intriguing. Meanwhile, Moon Bit-nari's unusual behavior has also been captured. Following Sung Yoon-mo, who secretly helps her despite Choi Il-goo’s order to exclude her from the ranks, her complicated gaze toward Sung Yoon-mo, a glimmer of light in the challenging military life, is puzzling. It is thrilling to see what kind of influence Sung Yoon-mo will have on Moon Bit-nari.

In the following photos, Choi Il-goo, whose spirit seems to escape, appears. Choi Il-goo, who has been summoned for reserve training, faces the 'fearful seniors' he does not want to meet: Kim Tae-hee (played by Cha Ji-hyeok), Jeon Dae-han (played by Lim Jong-hyuk), and Jang Deok-kyu (played by Heo Geon-young). With seniors approaching him with smiles, it seems to remind Choi Il-goo of his PTSD from his days as a private, leaving him frozen, with the ease of a veteran soldier nowhere to be found. It draws attention to what hidden past Choi Il-goo has and whether he can safely complete the training.

The production team of 'New Recruit' noted, "Sung Yoon-mo, who has been excluded from the ranks, causes confusion among the unit members with actions that defy everyone's expectations. We hope you look forward to the changes Sung Yoon-mo, who even showed tearful prayers, will bring to the living quarters," adding that, "Choi Il-goo, facing seniors he absolutely did not want to meet, will also reveal intriguing stories from his hidden past as a private."

Meanwhile, the 3rd episode of the Genie TV original drama 'New Recruit' will premiere tonight (14th, Mon) at 10 p.m. on the ENA channel and will be exclusively available for free VOD on KT Genie TV right after the main broadcast. It will be available on the OTT platform Tving.
