Today, I say my final goodbye to MBC.

Seventeen years ago, I walked into the broadcasting station for the first time with an unfamiliar press badge hanging around my neck, and that day is still vivid in my memory.

And today, I put down that press badge.

MBC was not just a simple workplace for me.

It was a foundation for my life that allowed me to live as a person who speaks, a person who thinks,

and a person who delivers the times.

Countless moments of broadcasting,

days filled with joy and regret,

thanks to the colleagues and viewers I laughed and cried with amid tension,

I will not forget that I am here today.

However, right now, I

step back from that familiar and warm place

and have decided to leap into a time of chaos.

Even knowing it is a road from which I cannot return,

I am throwing my life into a new path.

I hope the end brings about the beginning of change for someone.

And I hope that path is filled with the

'public language' and 'sincere attitude' I learned at MBC.

To everyone I worked with at MBC,

I am sincerely grateful.

Spring 2025,

Lee Sung-bae.
