MBC 'Good Day's' G-Dragon created a 'good day' through the power of music, achieving a successful conclusion.

The final episode of 'Good Day' (directed by Kim Tae-ho, produced by TEO), which aired on the 13th, depicted the last story of the 2025 Good Day project. G-Dragon completed the recording of a group song with the voices of the Good Day family, concluding the journey filled with laughter. The top moment was the scene where G-Dragon and Hwang Kwanghee, the final couple of ‘88 Nation,’ enjoyed a date at an amusement park, riding the gyro drop, which soared to a peak viewership rating of 3.5% (according to Nielsen Korea's metropolitan area data).

Producer G-Dragon began recording in earnest with a group song that reinterpreted the 'Telepathy' and 'Moonlight by the Window' of the urban children. While G-Dragon was simultaneously filming a music video, the scene unfolded where entertainers such as Jeong Hyung Don and Hwang Kwanghee observed the directing of G-Dragon's secret weapon, CL. In particular, CL acknowledged the magnetic charm of Jeong Hyung Don, who elicited laughter with bizarre directing, stating, '(Hyung Don) I can see why he would love Ji Yong.'

‘G-Dragon fan’ Hong Jin Kyung and Kian84 drew attention with their unique vocal styles. Hong Jin Kyung infused joyful vocals into nostalgic hit songs, making everyone smile, while Kian84 added depth with a sincere vocal style while playing with the rhythm. Notably, G-Dragon expressed that he was greatly inspired by Hong Jin Kyung’s freestyle rap, showcasing a new interpretation of her rap.

Another highlight was the recording scene where G-Dragon and Jeong Hyung Don reunited in the studio after 12 years since the 'Infinite Challenge Music Festival.' Jeong Hyung Don amazed everyone with his ad-libbing and various vocal styles, and G-Dragon shot him affectionate glances, saying, 'You're a genius, a genius,' and 'Honestly, I can't help but like you.'

For the next recording, Taeyang from BIGBANG, Daesung, and the Seventeen unit BSS came to support G-Dragon, who was finding it difficult to direct due to concert preparations. Code Kunst took charge of the recording of actress Kim Goeun, a member of the Hannam-dong karaoke team, praising her pure and clear voice, saying, 'She sounds like a singer from that era, 1988, when 'Telepathy' was released.'

In another studio, a meeting of captivating voices continued. Chef Anh Sung-jae took on the challenge of his first-ever song recording, and Taeyang, who bears a resemblance and is a regular customer, personally directed the session, adding interest. Particularly, Chef Anh Sung-jae added ad-libs featuring his trademarks 'Evenly' and 'Kick' to give the song an edge. The highly anticipated ending part was performed by Hwang Jung-min, who provided a thrilling conclusion that felt like a cinematic experience. When Hwang Jung-min's recording finished, Taeyang, Daesung, and even members of BSS erupted in cheers and applause.

The feast of melodies from singing masters also delighted the ears. Hwang Jung-min stated, 'When will I ever see the recordings of the athletes?' displaying his commitment to the recording session until the end, while Taeyang captured everyone's attention with his soulful voice and perfectionist attitude. Along with the main moments from the Seventeen unit BSS, Daesung also showcased his refreshing voice, eliciting awe. Members of BSS transformed into endorphins with their storm of praise for Daesung, and when the elder brother Hwang Jung-min suggested ideas for the sing-along sections, it created an even richer song.

Despite being busy with concerts, G-Dragon, who communicated in real-time and provided feedback, expressed gratitude towards the Good Day family for their substantial help, stating, 'Since there are many artists, I didn’t think it was just me directing alone; it was a song that we could all create together through communication.'

At the end of the broadcast, the surprise date of G-Dragon and Hwang Kwanghee, who was crowned the final couple of ‘88 Nation,’ was revealed, adding excitement. The two, dressed in school uniforms, enjoyed rides at the amusement park, reminiscing about their school days while sharing their innermost thoughts and building cherished memories. Jeong Hyung Don's unexpected appearance that made G-Dragon run was also a point of laughter. Notably, a scene where Jeong Hyung Don took on the role of Karina and attempted G-Dragon's “TOO BAD” couple dance challenge provoked hilarity.

G-Dragon recalled the memories of his first meeting with Jeong Hyung Don at Dongmyo five months ago and the journey with precious connections. He shared, 'This project started because I wanted more people to enjoy and laugh for a short time through the medium of music, and it was a time so funny that my jaw hurt.' He expressed gratitude to those precious connections that filled that time, marking a successful conclusion to 'Good Day.' The protagonist of the last piece of the heart invitation, made up of 30 pieces, was the viewers, and G-Dragon added meaning by filling in the final piece on behalf of the viewers.

Meanwhile, the 'Good Day 2025' music and music video will be released simultaneously on April 24 (Thursday) at 6 p.m. All revenue from the music will be donated entirely for the 'good day' of underprivileged children and teenagers.
