Trot singer Tae Jin-ah has been caring for his wife, who has been suffering from dementia for six years, while also delivering good news to his junior colleague.
On the broadcast of MBN's 'Exclusive World' aired on the 27th of last month, Tae Jin-ah met with junior trot singer Kim Yang and shared stories.
Tae Jin-ah praised Kim Yang, saying, "You sing Japanese songs artistically," and continued, "I can’t watch television freely for more than 2 to 3 minutes because of my wife. I have to look at my wife’s face. If I look elsewhere, she says, ‘Honey, what are you doing?’" sharing the recent status of his wife, Lee Ok-hyung, who has dementia.
He further recalled, "It's good that I've been caring for her with great devotion, so her dementia has stopped progressing. It's not getting worse. Recently, she has called me 'Honey' and 'Dad.' Her memory seems to be coming back. I hugged her and cried."
Additionally, Tae Jin-ah recently shared a photo of himself with his wife on social media, expressing his gratitude by saying, "Oh, how pretty, Ok-gyeong (nickname). Thank you all for your support."
Meanwhile, Tae Jin-ah has been caring for his wife, Lee Ok-hyung, who was diagnosed with dementia in 2019.
Tae Jin-ah married his wife in 1981 and has two sons, including singer Lee Ru.
