Brown Eyed Girls' Gain shared her thoughts after halting activities.

In the released video, Gain from Brown Eyed Girls grants as a guest, introducing herself by saying, "She is always a special friend. She is a female friend, like Kim Tae-sung's presence. I wanted to treat her to a glass of wine or whiskey, so I called her."

On that day, Im Seulong asked about Gain's recent situation, saying, "We hadn't been in touch for years," to which Gain cautiously began, "I haven't been able to talk to you much. I haven't told anyone well."

Gain said, "I had some incidents. This affected me mentally, and my health wasn't good either. Depression, insomnia, and panic disorder tend to come with our job. Consequently, I ended up spending a lot of time at home. When the moment came that I was about to fall into a slump, my mom was running a store and made me go out there."

She continued, "At first, I said I couldn’t go out. There were 6 or 7 employees, and there were bad articles about me at that time. I said I wouldn't go out for a month, but my mom dragged me out the next day. When I went out, it was a struggle for about a week. Because those friends had seen the articles, they all knew about me. Just working with them was really hard for me."

She shared that she worked almost every day, and when she got home, she was exhausted and stopped looking at her phone. Gradually, the tasks she needed to do increased. Eventually, she started finishing work with her employees. Starting around 4 p.m. and finishing at 11 p.m., she said, "At some point, I found there was no time to feel lonely since I had to go to work the next day."

Gain expressed, "The education my mom made me go through seemed to fit me perfectly. I wonder what would have happened if it hadn't been that way. I feel like crying." She reflected, "I think my mom must have struggled a lot behind the scenes. But I believe that triggered a moment that helped me survive."

She also noted, "I am grateful to those who recognized me (but) didn't say anything. Employees also didn't mention anything elsewhere. I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude, and I appreciate my mom. Without that, I wonder how I would be now. Those three years were really terrible. How did I endure?"

Moreover, Gain mentioned, "No matter how much of a celebrity I am, there is a genuine identity inside me, 'the human Son Gain.' I thought that now I should not push down one side but let both coexist well. I realized that I hadn't taken care of 'the human Son Gain' enough, which is likely what led to these issues."

In particular, Im Seulong shed tears while mentioning the numerous messages he had left for Gain, expressing his concern. He said, "I felt like she would be lonely. Since we're very close, not being in touch during this time felt significant. When I saw this someday, I wanted to convey the feeling that 'people are looking for you' even though I didn't think deeply about it; I instinctively left messages."

Earlier, Gain's agency announced in 2021 that "Gain was fined 1 million won after going through a brief indictment process related to propofol last year."

At that time, the agency said, "Due to a buildup of various injuries during activities, Gain has suffered from severe pain, depression, and moderate sleep disorders for a long time.
