Jun Hyun-moo could not hide his 'drunken pride.'
In the 25th episode of the real street food documentary 'Jun Hyun-moo Project 2' airing on the 11th (Friday), Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin) met with Director General Matsuda, a 1.2 million subscriber 'food expert' YouTuber, in Tokushima, Japan, uncovering hidden local restaurants and bars.
Previously, Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube followed Director General Matsuda, known as the 'night gourmet,' to a sake brewery with a 220-year tradition, where they were moved to greet 'fresh sake.' On this day, the three headed to a restaurant in downtown Tokushima selected by Matsuda in alignment with the 'Matsuda plan.'
After showcasing a stormy eating show, Kwak Tube asked Director General Matsuda, “I’m a huge fan of your YouTube channel. Many gourmet celebrities have appeared as guests, including Jeong Jun-ha and Sung Si-kyung. Who is the best gourmet?”
Then Director General Matsuda complimented, “Honestly, I met you for the first time today, but Jun Hyun-moo is the best” without a second thought. In response, Jun Hyun-moo said, “Alright!” while puffing out his chest, and Kwak Tube waved his hands, saying, “No, no. If you do this, it will make you more arrogant,” bringing laughter to the scene.
Nevertheless, Director General Matsuda praised, "When I drank sake earlier, I realized he really knows the true taste," and Jun Hyun-moo added, "Si-kyung likes alcohol, but he doesn’t understand it. When you don't drink much, you can better appreciate the taste differences. They say to 'sip' it in English," mentioning the alcohol enthusiast Sung Si-kyung, eliciting laughter.
Yet, Jun Hyun-moo stated, "Si-kyung is, as I joked earlier, a recognized gourmet. If you think of it as a conversation class, he’s in the advanced group, while I’m in the beginner to intermediate group."
In response, Director General Matsuda remarked, "That’s not true" as a compliment, and Jun Hyun-moo again said, "I was waiting for that," happily receiving the compliment and adding to the laughter.
