Director Hong Eun-mi and writer Kim Min-joo, who joined forces for "The Queen's House," revealed key points to watch.
KBS 2TV's new daily drama "The Queen's House" (directed by Hong Seok-goo, Hong Eun-mi / written by Kim Min-joo / produced by Flying Entertainment, Ascendio), which will premiere on the 28th (Monday) at 7:50 p.m., is a revenge drama about a woman who believed she had a perfect life but had everything stripped away from her.
The combination of trusted actors such as Ham Eun-jung, Seo Jun-young, Park Yoon-jae, and Lee Ga-ryeong has led to high expectations for "The Queen's House." Director Hong Eun-mi and writer Kim Min-joo shared key points to watch ahead of the premiere for potential viewers.
First, Director Hong Eun-mi expressed her thoughts and the charm of the work, recalling the moment she first read the script, saying, "I have a strong desire to show a more exciting drama that inherits the fun of 'Cinderella Game.'" She continued, "As I looked at the script by writer Kim Min-joo, I felt that each character was alive and vibrant."
Then, Director Hong introduced the direction point, saying, "I tried to capture as much as possible how the characters maintain or change themselves even when their appearance or beliefs and values are shaken by the situations in the work."
Writer Kim Min-joo noted, "The question of what home means to a human being is the starting point of this work," adding, "After the protagonist, Jae-in, sees her perfect home crumble, she finds true comfort through her encounters with people living with loss. Ultimately, the message conveyed is that home is not a place but 'people' who protect each other."
Additionally, Kim emphasized, "I hope viewers pay close attention to the protagonist's awakening and growth," and added, "Although Jae-in struggles in the midst of a crisis, I hope you watch her energy as she continues to move forward."
Director Hong Eun-mi also added, "The key points to watch are the fast-paced developments that leave no room for viewers to get bored and the intricate relationships and individual stories of the characters," boosting anticipation for the main broadcast.
In addition, Director Hong shared warm on-set atmosphere, saying, "The biggest charm and advantage is that the actors are sincere about the script and character analysis," and noted, "Everyone is working hard to show a different side through this project." He also mentioned, "Although they are acting as characters who hate and conflict with each other, we continue filming in a very friendly atmosphere."
Finally, Director Hong Eun-mi and writer Kim Min-joo stated, "We are working hard to make each episode enjoyable enough that viewers will not think of anything else during the moment they watch it, as a daily drama should be. We hope you enjoy it comfortably and happily in your living room," also asking for great anticipation and love for "The Queen's House."
