Actor Choi Hyun-wook is taking on another transformation.

According to OSEN on the 10th, Choi Hyun-wook will appear in the drama 'Hypnotize.'

'Hypnotize' is a fantasy mystery period piece based on a popular webtoon of the same name that was serialized from 2019 to 2020. Set against the backdrop of the Japanese colonial period, it tells a bizarre story surrounding a charming vampire female protagonist and an unnamed painter commissioned to paint a woman's portrait. It has been reported that actor Kim Sun-ho plays the unnamed painter.

Director Han Jae-rim, known for films 'The Face Reader,' 'The King,' and 'Emergency Declaration,' will take the helm and challenge himself again in drama direction following 'The Eight Show' on Netflix last year.

Choi Hyun-wook is reported to have been cast in a major role. Having captivated audiences with his unique acting skills and presence in various genre works, there is growing interest in his new project inside and outside the broadcasting industry.

Choi Hyun-wook perfectly took on the romantic comedy lead in tvN's 'My Dearest Nemesis,' which ended on the 24th of last month. In the drama, Choi Hyun-wook showcased a romantic chemistry with actress Moon Ga-young, painting the small screen pink and achieving a box office success.

Meanwhile, Choi Hyun-wook made his debut in 2019 with the web drama 'Real:Time:Love' and has been active in SBS's 'Taxi Driver,' 'Racket Boys,' tvN's 'Twenty-Five Twenty-One,' Wavve's 'Weak Hero Class 1,' 'Shining Watermelon,' and Netflix's 'D.P. Season 2.'
