The main cast of the drama 'Haunted Palace,' Yook Sungjae and Kim Jiyeon, appeared on 'Naraesik' and engaged in an honest and straightforward talk with host Park Narae.

On the 9th, a video of the 29th episode featuring actors Yook Sungjae and Kim Jiyeon from the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Haunted Palace' was posted on Park Narae's YouTube channel 'Naraesik,' titled '16-year friend revelations, trainee days, sleep paralysis stories, Jiyeon's tears, Sungjae's songs.'

The SBS new Friday-Saturday drama 'Haunted Palace,' which will premiere on the 18th, is a fantasy romantic comedy about a shaman, Yeori (Kim Jiyeon), who rejects her destiny as a medium, and the Imugi Gangcheol (Yook Sungjae), trapped in the body of Yeori's first love, confronting a cursed beast with a grudge against the royal family, resulting in a tangled conflict between body and soul.

Kim Jiyeon explained 'Haunted Palace' as 'a story about a friend named Yeori with mysterious spiritual abilities and an Imugi trapped in a human body, going to a haunted palace to save the royal family in crisis,' while Yook Sungjae added, 'The ghosts in the drama are all traditional Korean ghosts. We explore the grudge that led them to become ghosts, resolve that grudge, and even allow them to ascend.'

Yook Sungjae expressed gratitude, saying, 'It's my first historical drama, but it was comfortable to develop with Jiyeon.' Kim Jiyeon also shared, 'After the first shoot, I thought, 'Wow! This is really nice.' We really didn't need a process of getting close, so it was very comfortable to shoot.'

In the midst of their conversation, Kim Jiyeon revealed, 'I suddenly have something I want to say,' showing her gratitude towards Park Narae. She continued, 'When I was a rookie idol, I rarely appeared in entertainment shows for promotional purposes. After 'Twenty-Five Twenty-One' ended, many entertainment shows came in, and not many people remembered meeting me. But the senior remembered. The only person who remembered me was the senior. She’s the one who has always treated me well, even when we didn’t know who we were.' This confession touched Park Narae.

Park Narae seemed moved by the sudden confession and wiped away tears, while Kim Jiyeon also got teary-eyed. Seeing the two of them, Yook Sungjae empathized, saying, 'The people who treated you well from when you were a rookie stick with you, and once you succeed, you want to give back.' Kim Jiyeon reiterated, 'I really wanted to express my gratitude,' sharing her sincere feelings and creating a warm atmosphere.

Additionally, Park Narae formed a connection with Yook Sungjae when she appeared alongside her close friend, comedian Jang Doyoun, in the music video for the song 'You're Touching' by BTOB, released in 2014. Yook Sungjae recalled, 'Back then, I was a rookie, and it was a great honor that the sister and Jang Doyoun came out to support me.'

Now, Yook Sungjae and Kim Jiyeon have gained 13 and 9 years of experience, respectively. Park Narae remarked, 'Though they talk humbly about themselves, to me, they looked like shining stars.' She added, 'It’s great to see people I know doing well, and every time we meet, I feel genuinely happy and grateful that they remember that.'

'Naraesik' is a healing cooking talk show hosted by Park Narae, promising both taste and fun. Each episode consistently ranks among the top six, amassing over 45 million views overall, establishing itself as a popular channel.
