New student Jang Woo-hyuk from 'The Bride School' hinted at a direct approach with a florist resembling Shin Ae-ra and Ha Hee-ra.
In the 158th episode of the comprehensive cable channel Channel A's 'Modern Men's Life - The Bride School (hereafter 'The Bride School')' aired on the afternoon of the 9th, Kim Il-woo was seen taking his first 1-night, 2-day trip to Jeju Island with Park Sun-young, while Jang Woo-hyuk showcased a pink atmosphere with the florist during 'Self-initiated Romance' and repotting plants.
Kim Il-woo, who arrived in Jeju Island, said, "I've been living in Jeju for a month every year for the past 6 to 7 years. Since I'm relatively familiar with the place, I came down here," as he waited for someone at a breakwater with a view of the blue sea. A little later, Park Sun-young appeared pulling a large trunk and greeted Kim Il-woo cutely, asking, "Shall we live in Jeju together?" Kim Il-woo responded, "We've only been on day trips with Sun-young until now. I'm excited to finally spend a night with her," as he led Park Sun-young to his accommodation. After unpacking their belongings, the two strolled around the neighborhood, where they discovered a self-photo booth and took couple photos. At that moment, Kim Il-woo knelt and posed as if presenting flowers to Park Sun-young, causing the 'Studio Mentor Group' to worry, saying, "Isn't this sort of a proposal?"
In a sweet atmosphere, the two went grocery shopping, and citizens cheered, saying, "You two look great together. I wish you happiness." After returning to their accommodation, Kim Il-woo prepared a spicy rice cake dish accompanied by octopus and pasta for Park Sun-young, who likes spicy rice cakes, and made abalone rice for a splendid meal. However, while eating the spicy rice cakes, Kim Il-woo was surprised when the red sauce splashed onto his clothes. Park Sun-young immediately wiped it off, and Kim Il-woo revealed his inner thoughts, saying, "Is this a dream or reality? I just thought it would be nice to live like this." After finishing their meal, Kim Il-woo did the dishes. Grateful, Park Sun-young put a mask pack on Kim Il-woo's face. After finishing his bedtime preparations, Kim Il-woo asked, "Sun-young, do you lock the door when you sleep?" and a little later knocked on Park Sun-young's room, asking, "Sun-young, are you awake? Can I come in?" which surprised everyone. In response, 'Principal' Lee Seung-cheol joked, "Are you going to 19+?" to which Kim Il-woo replied, "I’m just trying to diligently implement what I've learned from the teachers. Something big is coming,” heating up the scene. As interest grew regarding the reason behind Kim Il-woo's knock on the first night of the trip with Park Sun-young, the day of new student Jang Woo-hyuk was revealed.
From the morning, Jang Woo-hyuk asked, "What is the fashion that women like?" as he dressed up nicely and got into the car. He noted, "As spring has arrived, I was introduced to a florist by an acquaintance to repot some plants," signaling his first venture into 'Self-initiated Romance'. However, he questioned himself, saying, "Am I too dressed up to repot plants?" as he fell into a moment of self-doubt, then hesitated in front of the flower shop where 'Self-initiated Romance' was taking place before finally opening the door with determination. The 'Self-initiated Romance' florist was arranging flowers, and upon seeing her, the 'Mentor Group' erupted in applause, saying, "She is so beautiful," and "She has a Shin Ae-ra and Ha Hee-ra vibe." With everyone's attention on her, the florist served coffee, and Jang Woo-hyuk naturally asked about her age and relationship status. The florist shared, "I was born in 1990" and added, "I don't have a boyfriend," making Jang Woo-hyuk smile. Observing this, 'April's Groom' Kim Jong-min remarked that he is the same age as 'Hiyung' and said, "It would be nice to date together."
After enjoying coffee and completing the repotting, Jang Woo-hyuk noticed a broken rail by the window and offered, "I'll fix it." When the florist expressed her gratitude, Jang Woo-hyuk quickly replaced the rail and even went into the utility room to wash his hands, noticing a wobbly faucet and effortlessly replacing it. Bringing his toolbox from his car, he completed the faucet replacement and applied silicone around the sink, showcasing his innovative approach to 'tool flirting,' which impressed the 'Mentor Group' with their exclamations of, "I've never seen anything like this!" 'Music teacher' Lee Da-hae also exclaimed, "It's the best ever!" and gave him a double thumbs up and applause.
Expressing her appreciation, the florist offered to buy Jang Woo-hyuk a drink. He immediately responded, "Sounds good," and took her to a nearby café in his car. In the car, the florist showed interest in cassette tapes, creating a connection with Jang Woo-hyuk, and they were both surprised to find they shared interests in plants and camping. Once they arrived at the café, the two had drinks and engaged in a dating conversation, asking, "What style do you like?" The florist responded, "I like gentle people. I don't like bad boys. Someone passionate about their work seems cool to me." Jang Woo-hyuk playfully commented, "Just like how I fixed the faucet?" making the florist burst out laughing. He then cautiously asked, "How much of an age gap is acceptable?" The florist replied, "If the person is too young or too old, and there aren't common interests, it would be difficult to develop a relationship. I've never had a specific thought on how much of an age gap would be ideal." Satisfied, Jang Woo-hyuk asked, "Can you find time for me again?" Showing aggressive forwardness from their first meeting, interest continues to grow about whether Jang Woo-hyuk will secure a second date.
