Broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo demonstrated once again the 'textbook of an apology' with a straightforward and clean apology regarding the 'drunk live broadcast' controversy.

On the 9th, Jun Hyun-moo posted an apology on his social account, stating, "My official apology regarding the Instagram live broadcast last Saturday has been delayed."

Previously, Jun Hyun-moo hosted his first-ever live broadcast on the 5th. BoA was alongside him while he was intoxicated, and the two had a time interacting and answering fans' questions during the drinking live.

However, during this process, BoA's inappropriate remarks and actions came under scrutiny. One fan mentioned a dating rumor, asking, "Is it true that you are dating Park Na-rae?" To this, BoA replied, "I don't think we are dating." Jun Hyun-moo appeared flustered and said, "Before I could even respond," adding, "Please delete it right away," while BoA concluded, "We cannot be together."

Jun Hyun-moo asked, "Why? Are you worried about Park Na-rae?" BoA replied, "No, I’m worried about you, oppa." Jun Hyun-moo expressed concern, saying, "Are you sure it's okay? I'm going out right now," to which BoA responded, "It doesn’t matter." Jun Hyun-moo shook his head, saying, "Oh, this friend is really going too far," while BoA explained, "I am someone who fits well with Afreeca TV."

After the live video spread, netizens pointed out that it was rude to compare, saying, "It’s unfair to Jun Hyun-moo when he is not present," and demanded an apology for Park Na-rae. Ultimately, BoA expressed her regrets on the 7th through the official fan community Weverse, stating, "I apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable with my reckless remarks and immature behavior displayed during the SNS live on the 5th."

He stated, "First, I mentioned and made remarks that are unacceptable in a space where the parties involved are absent, and I apologize to Ms. Park Na-rae for that. Thank you for your understanding. I also feel sorry for disappointing the fans who have supported me for a long time," adding, "I will reflect on this incident and strive to show a mature side without forgetting the weight that every word and action carries in the future."

Meanwhile, Jun Hyun-moo also posted an apology on the 9th. He first said, "I conveyed my apologies to Na-rae immediately after the broadcast, regarding her mention during the live. I want to express my apologies and gratitude to Na-rae for her generous understanding despite the unpleasant situation."

He further stated, "It was clearly wrong to mention someone in a situation where they are not present, and to conduct the live carelessly while intoxicated. I sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable due to this incident. I will be more considerate and cherish my close ones. I will reflect on myself."

After the apology was made public, netizens praised it, saying, "It was well written," and "It’s neat." They noted that he accurately identified the issues with eloquence worthy of a three-time grand award winner, humbly accepting responsibility while also delivering a clear and concise apology to the affected party, impressing even those who criticized him.

Jun Hyun-moo is already well known as a 'professional in apologies'. The apology he posted when he faced controversy for disrespectful behavior towards Kang Ho-dong, a candidate for the grand award at the '2015 SBS Entertainment Awards,' is still considered the 'textbook of an apology' and is continuously referenced.

In particular, during the 2019 broadcast of KBS2's 'Happy Together 4,' KBS announcer junior Lee Hye-seong humorously described Jun Hyun-moo as the 'pioneer of incident reports.' This was due to the various mistakes he made at KBS, which helped juniors write incident reports. Thus, when he drew attention again with another exemplary apology, reactions of 'definitely an expert' followed.
