The group Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino)'s Japanese single album 4, 'Shohikigen,' is gaining steady popularity.
According to the Japan Record Association on the 10th, 'Shohikigen' surpassed cumulative shipments of 750,000 copies as of March, earning Seventeen the first time a single album received Gold Disc 'Triple Platinum' certification, just four months after being awarded 'Double Platinum' (over 500,000 copies) in November of last year.
With this, Seventeen now holds 5 albums that have been certified Gold Disc 'Triple Platinum' or higher, including 'Shohikigen.' The Japan Record Association distinguishes certifications as Gold (over 100,000 copies), Platinum (over 250,000 copies), Double Platinum (over 500,000 copies), and Triple Platinum (over 750,000 copies) based on the cumulative shipment of albums every month.
'Shohikigen' debuted at No. 1 on the Japan Oricon 'Daily Single Ranking' upon its release on November 27 last year, and went on to dominate major local charts, including the 'Weekly Single Ranking' and 'Weekly Combined Single Ranking.' The album continued to make several appearances at No. 1 on the Oricon 'Daily Single Ranking,' showcasing its unusual popularity.
Recently, Seventeen, who adorned the stage as the headliner for the largest music festival in South America, 'Tecate Pa'l Norte 2025,' is preparing for a fan meeting in Japan. They will meet local fans at the 'SEVENTEEN 2025 JAPAN FAN MEETING 'HOLIDAY'' on the 24th and 26th-27th at Kyocera Dome Osaka, and on May 10th-11th at Saitama Super Arena.
