Park Hae-soo talked about the aftereffects of playing a villain in 'Karma.'

On the 9th, an interview with Netflix 'Karma' actor Park Hae-soo took place at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul.

'Karma' is a crime thriller depicting the intertwined stories of six people who are entangled in a fate from which they want to escape but cannot. Based on the webtoon of the same name, 'Karma' has been adapted into a drama written directly by director Lee Il-hyung.

Park Hae-soo plays the role of 'the witness man,' who gets involved in concealing an incident he witnesses, receiving praise for his intense performance as a villain filled with coarse language.

Following his strong performance in the film 'Lobby,' Park Hae-soo, who also performed intense profanity, said, "I practiced diligently. After all, an actor has to practice. These are words I could never even imagine. Thanks to the writer."

He continued, "What was difficult about playing that character is that 'the witness man' became emotionally very taxing in the latter half. I felt like I was breaking a taboo. For instance, drinking soju in a church. Regarding the line, I would throw out curses against the backdrop of the cross. It was unsettling, and it was very hard for me inside."

He also noted, "What I could do freely at that time was really because I wore a mask. When I go home, I try to forget it quickly. I think I tried to pull it out. Saying harsh words directly was uncomfortable, but at the time, it felt fun to break the taboo."

Park Hae-soo, who is also known to be a Christian, revealed, "I actually prayed a lot. I think to do evil well, you have to be good. While I may not be good, I think it has to be shown accurately. So, I prayed a lot," which brought laughter.
