Broadcaster Lee Ji-hye apologized for the controversy over the 'entry ban' in Okinawa.
On the 9th, Lee Ji-hye uploaded several photos on her social account, saying, "It was reality parenting, but our family trip ended without any problems!!!!"
The released photos captured Lee Ji-hye's family on their trip to Okinawa. Lee Ji-hye enjoyed quality time with her husband Moon Jae-wan and their two daughters in Okinawa.
However, Lee Ji-hye introduced locations by saying, "Gapyeong pool villa, Jeju Island Hyopjae beach, Udo tour, Hadong cosmos festival," and apologized by saying, "Sorry, Okinawa!" which drew laughter.
Earlier, Lee Ji-hye uploaded photos from her family trip to Hawaii in 2023, but faced embarrassment for receiving criticism from acquaintances asking, "Isn't it Jeju Island?" due to the familiar background, composition, and atmosphere that did not look like Hawaii.
In addition, in this Okinawa trip, comments mentioning domestic travel destinations such as Yangpyeong, Gapyeong, Chuncheon, Nami Island, and Yeosu poured in response to the question, "Where am I?" and she expressed her frustration by saying, "If you get banned from entry in Hawaii and Okinawa, take responsibility!"
Afterward, she uploaded additional photos saying, "Okinawa for sure," but the reactions remained unchanged. Ultimately, Lee Ji-hye joked about her Okinawa trip photos saying, "Gapyeong pool villa, Jeju Island Hyopjae beach, Udo tour, Hadong cosmos festival," and added, "National tour successful!!!!!" to enhance the humor.
Meanwhile, Lee Ji-hye married tax accountant Moon Jae-wan in 2017 and has two daughters.
