G-Dragon, known as Kwon Ji-yong, has appeared at KAIST.
On the 9th, G-Dragon, appointed as a visiting professor in mechanical engineering at KAIST last year, attended the 'Innovate Korea 2025' event held at KAIST in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, where he held a special talk show on 'The Future of AI Entertech.'
G-Dragon conveyed his thoughts on visiting KAIST for the second consecutive year, saying, "I first came last year, and since this is my second visit, it didn't feel unfamiliar," and remarked, "I was pleased to see the puppy robot again after a long time."
He shared his thoughts on the relationship between art and science, saying, "I think science and mathematics are part of art. I believe that technology and art converge in that creating something can bring joy and help to others."
"There are limits to what people can express. There are many things I want to convey on stage, but it's difficult to communicate all of them, so I think we need to utilize technology from the perspective of creating a stage," he said.
He actively attempted to utilize technology in his recent concert, saying, "As a KAIST scholar, I tried to showcase technology as much as possible in the actual concert," and recounted his experience, saying, "I thought that art dealing with human emotions and technology could come together to provide people with a new experience."
He concluded by saying, "I feel honored and enjoy being a medium through which good technology can be easily and entertainingly delivered to the public as a popular singer," showcasing the aspect of Professor Kwon Ji-yong from KAIST.
