'Catch Your Luck' has announced the birth of a new concept family drama that has never been seen before.
The new daily drama 'Catch Your Luck' (written by Son Ji-hye, directed by Park Man-young, Lee Hae-woo), set to debut on the 14th at 8:30 p.m., depicts the tumultuous growth stories of three friends who are rich, poor, and want to be rich, along with their families.
In the drama, the owner of Daewon Building, Son Chang-min (played by Han Mu-cheol), his long-time friend and current tenant, Sun Woo-jae-deok (played by Kim Dae-sik), and Park Sang-myeon (played by Choi Gyu-tae) engage in a fierce yet comic money game to catch the luck in front of them. The colorful stories and the unique characters that provide a twist in the narrative are expected to inject thrilling tension into weekday home viewing.
#1. Six middle-aged actors never seen before! Flawless lineup, high expectations!
'Catch Your Luck' features middle-aged actors in main roles who have not appeared in other dramas. News about the casting of Son Chang-min, Sun Woo-jae-deok, Park Sang-myeon, along with Lee Ah-hyun (played by Im Mi-ja), Oh Young-sil (played by Lee Hye-sook), and Ahn Yeon-hong (played by Hwang Geum-ok) has drawn excited anticipation from viewers ahead of the broadcast. In particular, the high school trio—Mu-cheol, Dae-sik, and Gyu-tae—showcases an extreme tension as they settle into landlord and tenant roles 40 years later. Additionally, the chemistry of Mi-ja and Hye-sook, who continue their fateful rivalry from the past to the present, is also a major point of interest.
#2. Captivating the home audience with bouncy acting! MZ actors assembled!
Actors Yeon Je-hyung, Lee So-won, Kim Hyun-ji, Park Ji-sang, Gong Ye-ji, and Ahn Jun-seo will appear as the children of the 'trio' Mu-cheol, Dae-sik, and Gyu-tae. They, too, entangle themselves as the landlord and tenant's children, showcasing a chaotic chemistry under one roof. Additionally, a love line emerging from the feud between the children of Mu-cheol and Dae-sik is anticipated, signaling another generation-spanning conflict.
#3. 'Money-love-friendship' a story that everyone can relate to!
Son Ji-hye, the writer of 'Catch Your Luck,' identified 'money' as the main keyword of the drama. She explained, "Everyone wants to have money, but not everyone can have it, and while we want to turn away from it, ultimately we cannot. Money is an immortal topic that is inseparable from human existence." The drama is expected to vividly portray the money game over opportunities that may come only once in a lifetime and various human behaviors, drawing deep empathies and immersions from viewers.
