Yang Se-hyung captured both empathy and laughter with dating advice drawn from experience.

On the final episode of the U+ original variety show 'My Friend 4,' released at midnight on the 8th, Yang Se-hyung shared a story about his experience misinterpreting affection as a romantic spark, referred to as 'the axe syndrome.'

In that broadcast, a woman’s dilemma about confessing to her favorite senior in a club, only to find herself in a vague situation that felt like being managed, was introduced with the story titled 'Not 2 percent but 12 percent insufficient.'

The four MCs, having heard the dilemma, engaged in a deep talk about the challenges of real-life dating, struggling with the subtle emotional balancing act between 'the spark' and 'the management.'

In the midst of this, Yang Se-hyung mentioned, 'This happened to me too,' as he revealed stories from his romantic past. He shared, 'There was someone I fell for at first sight, and I thought, 'Isn’t she perhaps interested in me?' because her way of speaking felt too gentle, but it turned out she talks like that with all the guys,' expressing his mix of excitement and heartbreak in a case of misinterpreted romance.

He continued with a resigned smile, saying, 'I thought I was her only 'special' one, but it was just the standard setup.' He offered dating advice, stating, 'If you get rejected two times, that means it’s just not meant to be. If you push further, that would be someone lacking in awareness,' while also adding a tip to prevent 'the axe syndrome': 'Don’t give too much meaning to trivial signals like the other person sending the first message, or smiling at you.'

Regarding the dilemma, Yang Se-hyung noted, 'Just tell those who evaluate people by numbers to go away!' and comforted those tired of being 'the subordinate' in romantic situations by saying, 'Meet someone who can love you just as you are.'

The 16th episode of 'My Friend 4,' filled with relatable dating episodes that everyone might have experienced at least once, along with Yang Se-hyung's unique sense of humor and storytelling, can be found on U+tv and U+mobiletv.
