In the final episode of Mnet's Couple Palace 2 broadcast on the 9th, the results of the final proposal, which marked the end of a 10-week journey, were revealed.
Jo Young-seok and Kim Soo-min were a confident couple. However, things turned chilly between the two when Kim Soo-min mentioned her ex-boyfriend in front of Jo Young-seok or made mistakes while drunk.
The day before, Jo Young-seok said, "I want to go home. I want to relax comfortably at home," and a flustered Kim Soo-min replied, "But I might not want to do that because there’s something big tomorrow," adding, "You might have been disappointed in me yesterday and I should reflect on it, but if you were thinking of a long-term relationship with me, I think you would have done this at some point. This is me."
Later, Jo Young-seok drew attention by stating through a couple manager, "I learned new things about you, so there’s a bit of emotional distance."
On the day of the final proposal, Jo Young-seok told Kim Soo-min, "I felt comfortable, happy, and joyful being with you," speaking in the past tense, which heightened the tension. He said, "I might have been a bit upset. So, those events and emotions I felt the other day might be things I had to feel at some point," then asked, "Kim Soo-min, will you marry me?"
Jo Young-seok stated, "No one is perfect, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing. After calmly reflecting, I felt a little certainty about my feelings for you, Soo-min," to which Kim Soo-min replied, "Being with you makes me feel like I could be a wiser, stronger, and more wonderful person. So, I’ll accept your marriage proposal."
Kim Soo-min shared in an interview, "I truly regard this healthy attraction as rare, and I met such a person through Couple Palace."
