Singer and actress Harisu expressed anger over spam messages.
On the 8th, Harisu posted a photo on her social media account along with the phrase, "What are you trying to say?!"
The photo posted by Harisu contained a text message that she seemingly received that day. The message included content such as, "Height 170cm, weight 48kg, I am a flight attendant. Are you lonely tonight? I miss you so much. If you want to spend a beautiful night together, please add my ID," and, "Are you interested in a hot live broadcast + actual date? Only those aged 30 and above can participate."
This was a combination of a text message and phishing, called "smishing." Harisu expressed anger after receiving the spam message, noting, "What are you trying to say?!" In particular, the content of the message, which seemed to entice her as a woman after over 30 years of transitioning, was even more disheartening.
Meanwhile, Harisu gained attention as the first transgender celebrity in Korea after undergoing gender reassignment surgery from Namsung to female around 1994 and debuting in 2001 through a cosmetics advertisement. She married Mikijeong, who is four years younger, in 2006 but divorced in 2017.
