Comedian Yoon Hyung-bin, who has transformed into a producer, is presenting 'K-Pop Week in Hongdae' centered around small theaters.

Yoon's group announced on the 8th, "'K-Pop Week in Hongdae' will be held at small theaters near Hongdae in Mapo District, Seoul, from May 1 to 11."

'K-Pop Week in Hongdae' is based on the motto 'K-Pop up close and personal.' It plans to provide opportunities for fans and artists to interact more closely through various small theaters rather than large performance venues.

'K-Pop Week in Hongdae' also carries the meaning of being a new movement to enjoy K-Pop in a more diverse way. During the festival, a variety of performances and events will take place in close quarters, offering K-Pop artists a new stage experience and fans a special memory.

Additionally, this festival is expected to revitalize the stagnant performance culture in Hongdae after COVID-19 and contribute to spreading a small theater-based live performance culture in the predominantly large concert-focused K-Pop market.

Yoon Hyung-bin, who planned 'K-Pop Week in Hongdae,' said, "While it's great that K-Pop is gaining popularity worldwide and the scale of performances is increasing, there is a disappointment that the distance between artists and the audience is becoming greater." He added, "I ask for your great expectation and interest in 'K-Pop Week in Hongdae,' where the local culture of Hongdae, which coexists with youth, music, and experimental spirit, meets the authenticity of K-Pop."

Meanwhile, more details about 'K-Pop Week in Hongdae' will continue to be revealed.
