Singer Lee Mujin shared his thoughts on his first travel reality show.
On the afternoon of the 8th, a production briefing for the new MBC Every1 entertainment program "Great Guide 2" took place at the Stanford Hotel in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul. The briefing featured producer Woo Tak-woo, Kim Dae-ho, Choi Daniel, Lee Mujin, Oh My Girl's Hyojung, Rwanda guide Moses, and Argentina guide Andres, who shared their insights.
"Great Guide 2" is a local reality program in which foreigners residing in South Korea for N years serve as guides to inform travelers visiting their home countries about spots known only to locals.
On this day, Lee Mujin recalled, through "Great Guide 2," that he felt excited about challenging himself in a reality show, saying, "I had high expectations thinking about going to wonderful destinations with my wonderful hyungs. I had many first-time experiences, and it wasn't just about meeting my expectations; the process of weaving together my differences with the emotional aspects of Argentina might meet the viewers' expectations as well. I remember showing many new aspects of myself."
He emphasized, "Above all, Park Myung-soo hyung is three years older than my father. At first, I thought I should be relaxed since it's a reality show, but as a human, there was unavoidable discomfort, so breaking that was my first mission. Thankfully, the loving production team and the cast treated me comfortably, like the youngest in the group, allowing me to relax. However, I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. It was a happy journey," evoking laughter.
When asked about his chemistry with the cast, Lee Mujin responded, "There's a big age difference. We traveled focusing on that. I thought about how to bridge that gap, but the age difference actually worked to our advantage. Being the youngest, I was active first, and Daniel hyung is not quiet at all. He plays a role in relieving the boredom of the trip. When Dae-ho hyung acts like the captain, Daniel hyung makes jokes, and I diligently research and take the lead. Our roles were well distributed, making it enjoyable to proceed."
Meanwhile, "Great Guide 2" will premiere at 8:30 p.m. on the 8th.
