She was truly a good person.” He continued, “Even in her painful situation, she endured with medication and looked after the children. She collapsed while operating a clothing store. I wonder if it was due to overexertion. I also feel regret for not being able to stop her firmly. If I had stopped her then, if we had had fewer children, if I had not met her, those thoughts come to me,” showing signs of self-blame.

After work, the husband busily moved between childcare and household chores, and then dedicated himself to caring for his wife. He lived solely for his wife, from massaging her to reading her a book by her side. The husband said, “Speaking to someone who doesn’t respond is more difficult than I thought. The conversation ends within a minute. I try to stay close by reading books and singing songs.”

The husband was experiencing difficulties in daily life due to lack of sleep. It was common for him to not remember things well. The husband said, “Not long ago, I lost consciousness while driving.
