Singer An Som-i, a former member of the girl group DIA, is set to take on the role of producer for Modenberry Korea's new boy group. She is the second to do so after Cho Yi-hyun, who previously produced BAE173, CLASSY, and Fantasy Boys.
Modenberry Korea stated on the 6th that "our artist An Som-i will participate in the music, performance, concept planning, and visual directing for the upcoming debut project of the new boy group (tentatively named Earth Boy)."
The company added, "This boy group is set to launch in 2028, and we are putting significant effort into casting and training the trainees."
An Som-i and Kim Min-kyu, head of new artist development at Modenberry Korea, said, "Creating someone’s debut comes with a great responsibility. We want to make a team that can be loved for a long time, not just a simple idol group."
Meanwhile, Som-i recently noted, "The claim that CEO Kim Kwang-soo of Pocketdol Studio is dating me is a clear falsehood, and I plan to take legal action regarding this."
The agency stated, "We will take strong legal action against any malicious acts without leniency, and we will continue to monitor for additional legal responses," adding, "We will consistently collect evidence to pursue strong measures, including criminal complaints and civil claims for damages."
