MBC 'Good Day' is heightening expectations with the pre-release of a group song that G-Dragon will remake.
The 7th episode airing tonight (the 6th) at 9:10 p.m. will showcase a scene from the Good Day general meeting, where participants share meals and hold an auction for prized possessions. Centered around G-Dragon, the gathering includes Cho Sae-ho, Jeong Hyung Don, Defconn, Code Kunst, as well as Hwang Jung-min, Lee Soo-hyuk, Yim Siwan, Hwang Kwanghee, Jung Haein, Kian84, Hong Jin Kyung, Chef Anh Sung-jae, Seventeen unit BSS, aespa, CL, among others, showcasing various chemistry.
A pre-release video for episode 7, shown before the broadcast, captured the unveiling of the group song, which is the final segment of the Good Day general meeting, captivating the audience. The group song that G-Dragon decided on after much thought is 'Telepathy' by City Boys, released in 1988. With its funky rhythm, a representative city pop of Korea, the instantly catchy beat induces a feeling of addiction and heightens anticipation.
When the group song was unveiled, Hong Jin Kyung exclaimed, "I love this song. It's art," while Jeong Hyung Don and Defconn also raised their energy with light movements to the irresistible beat. Even the younger cast members who were unfamiliar with City Boys showed exuberance upon hearing the song for the first time. Expectations are rising for how G-Dragon will reinterpret 'Telepathy' with the voices of over 30 people for the 2025 version.
The recording scene led by producer G-Dragon has also been unveiled. In particular, G-Dragon impressed as he was the first to record for his 88z friends, including Yim Siwan, Hwang Kwanghee, and Jung Haein. G-Dragon reinterpreted and sang 'Telepathy' in his own style, even adding improvised rap, creating a completely different song. Amidst G-Dragon's shining moment, Hwang Kwanghee couldn't help but exclaim, "It’s insane," and "He's a real artist."
G-Dragon, who took part in the recording direction, drew attention with his meticulous care for Jung Haein down to the smallest details.
