Actor Kim Seung-hyun revealed a family photo transformed into the style of Studio Ghibli by AI.

On the 6th, Kim Seung-hyun posted on his social media account, "Recommended cherry blossom spots. We prefer our daughter Ryoon over cherry blossoms," along with the photo.

In the photo, Kim Seung-hyun shared a moment of his wife, artist Jang Jeong-yoon, holding their second daughter, Ryoon. Alongside this, he also revealed the image transformed using the popular ChatGPT into the Studio Ghibli style.

Kim Seung-hyun boarded the trend by transforming images into the Studio Ghibli style. Couples Kang Jae-jun and Lee Eun-hyung, Song Ji-eun and Park Wi, Hong Seok-cheon, Jeon Hyun-moo, Park Seul-ki, Lee Hyun-yi, Lee Ji-hoon and Ayane, Kim Sung-eun, Nam Bo-ra, Oh Sang-jin, Seol Ha-yoon, Jang Seong-kyu, Eun Ga-eun, Super Junior's Lee Teuk, CNBLUE's Lee Jung-shin, Solji, Son Dam-bi, Lee Da-eun, Huh Kyung-hwan, Kim Dong-jun, Chae-ri-na, Kim Young-hee, Maeng Seung-ji, Lee Ji-hye, and Nam Bo-ra have also shared similar photos to ride the trend.

However, this issue has recently become embroiled in controversies concerning copyright. The discussion has arisen regarding potential copyright infringement issues due to AI image generation capabilities. As images of specific content styles like Ghibli, The Simpsons, and LEGO spread widely on social media, concerns have been raised that OpenAI may have infringed on the copyrights of the original studios and directors. While specific styles are not protected by copyright, analyses suggest that if specific content is used in the AI learning process, acts of reproduction concerning the works may occur.

In particular, the statement by director Hayao Miyazaki, who co-founded Ghibli, criticizing AI art as "an insult to human life" in a 2016 NHK documentary is also being revisited.

Meanwhile, Kim Seung-hyun married artist Jang Jeong-yoon in January 2020 and welcomed their second daughter last August.
