Actor Kim Jin-goo, who passed away, is commemorating the ninth anniversary of his death.

Kim Jin-goo suddenly felt unwell while returning home after filming KBS 2TV's "Love in Hard Times" in Uljin on April 6, 2016, and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. After being diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage and undergoing surgery, he succumbed to respiratory distress while being monitored.

A source from a drama said, "The production team and cast were all shocked and saddened by the news," and added, "We offer our condolences for the deceased." Thus, "Love in Hard Times" became his last work.

Kim Jin-goo debuted in 1971 with KBS' 9th recruitment and continued acting for decades. He was an actor who made a strong impression on the public, so much so that one would exclaim "Ah!" upon seeing his face.

He was especially loved by movie audiences for his image as an intense, talented actor.

He actively worked across both film and drama. He appeared in films such as "Oasis," "Mokpo, The Harbor," "Pain," "Happiness," "Kind-Hearted Geum-ja," "The Dog of Flanders," "Mother," "My Grandmother is in First Grade," "Dohiya," "My Grandmother is My Brother," and "Mutants," taking lead roles in productions like "Summer Days," "My Grandmother is in First Grade," and "My Grandmother is My Brother," where he showcased his talent.
