Kim Sang-hyuk, a former member of Click-B, shared a story about being scammed and losing 2.3 billion won.
On the broadcast of KBS2TV's 'The Men Who Live Together Season 2' on the 5th, Kim Sang-hyuk shared updates on his life and revealed that his mother had been scammed and that they are currently living in a 15-pyeong house.
On this day, Kim Sang-hyuk made his appearance after 20 years of his broadcasting hiatus. He talked about his life after being suspended from broadcasting due to a drunk driving incident in 2005 when he was 23 years old.
Kim Sang-hyuk showed remorse regarding his drunk driving and comments made during a press conference, stating, "Everything is the result of my actions, and I can't blame anyone else. I regretted it a lot back then. The conclusion is it's my fault."
Additionally, Kim Sang-hyuk's mother shocked everyone by saying she had been scammed. He mentioned, "My mom was scammed by her boyfriend. It was the first time my mom had a boyfriend. But he was a con artist. I even gave her a carnation and went with her to visit my dad's and grandmother's graves."
Kim Sang-hyuk said, "He claimed to run a motel business and took out loans collateralizing my name and my mom's APT. We gave that money to a construction company, but they never built anything." He added, "My mom couldn't speak about it for two years. She started paying 10 million won in interest every month and suddenly burst into tears in her room," which drew empathy from those around.
Eventually, Kim Sang-hyuk's family had to sell both APT.s they owned. Kim Sang-hyuk said, "At that time, one APT. was worth about 1 billion won, and we paid over 100 million won in interest every year for three years, so I feel like we lost about 2.3 billion won in that period." The production team revealed that the current market price for the APT. Kim Sang-hyuk sold is 2.7 billion won, shocking those present.
