Amid copyright infringement controversies, celebrities' love for "Ghibli-style AI" continues. Despite critical perspectives on copyright awareness, they still appear busy with certifications.

Nowadays, there’s something that always appears in celebrities' social media. It’s the certification photos transformed into Ghibli style using ChatGPT. These range from selfies to family and children's photos.

Actor and painter Lee Hye-young published two photos on her social media on the 5th without any particular caption, accompanied by emojis. The released photos captured Lee Hye-young running on the beach with her husband and pet dog. Lee Hye-young revealed that the photos were created with the trending "Ghibli-style AI."

The photo released by Lee Hye-young featured her husband, drawing attention. Lee Hye-young remarried a businessman who is older than her in 2011 and resides in a high-end villa in Hannam-dong, Seoul, worth around 4 billion won. In particular, since Lee Hye-young's husband is known to be a wealthy individual with managed assets of 27 trillion won, the photo garnered even more interest.

Before Lee Hye-young, several celebrities also uploaded "Ghibli-style AI" photos. On the 4th, actress Jeon So-min also shared a photo taken with acquaintances, transformed into "Ghibli-style AI," without any special caption. The photo included Jeon So-min and three acquaintances.

Singer Lee Ji-hye also shared multiple photos on the 3rd with the caption, "I tried not to do Ghibli if possible, but the kids are so cute that I’m sharing a family photo. The last photo is the cutest in the world," accompanied by family photos with her two daughters and husband, as well as a Ghibli-style photo of her daughters seemingly standing with their hands up.

Meanwhile, there was also an unfortunate victim. Comedian Kim Young-hee posted on her social media on the 3rd, "ChatGPT victim, Ghibli victim—no, the Ghibli images all come out beautifully, but why do I only look like I'm aging?" along with her photo.

The disclosed photo contained Kim Young-hee’s family photo transformed into Ghibli style, showing her with her husband and child. Notably, Kim Young-hee was depicted looking somewhat like an elderly woman, attracting attention. Kim Young-hee humorously wrote, "How do they know I’m 10 years older? Why do they make me look even older than that? Is my vascular age visible?"

In addition, broadcaster and YouTuber Na Seon-wook also shared several "Ghibli-style AI" images with the comment, "Did the Ghibli go wrong? Why do they make me look fatter?" In the photos, Na Seon-wook was depicted as heavier than in reality, expressing his dissatisfaction and evoking laughter.

As such, the trend of "Ghibli-style AI" certifications continues among various celebrities, maintaining ongoing significant interest. However, there are critiques that it is disappointing to see celebrities just following the trend without awareness of copyright controversies. Hayao Miyazaki, the original creator of Ghibli, has already expressed a negative stance on AI, stating, "The results created by AI have no understanding of the pain of those who work on actual projects. It’s completely disgusting. I will never use such technology in my work. I consider it an insult to life itself." Additionally, copyright infringement controversies have been reported multiple times.

It is a concern that in a situation where copyright issues are surfacing publicly, celebrities are following trends without any critical awareness.
