Lee Soon-sil revealed that she uses 'laundry soap and dish detergent' when washing her hair, drawing attention to the background in KBS2's 'Boss's Ears are Donkeys'.
KBS 2TV's 'Boss's Ears are Donkeys' (directed by Ahn Sang-eun, hereafter referred to as 'Bodongi') is a program for self-reflection and role reversal by bosses in South Korea to create a workplace where people enjoy working. The previous episode recorded a viewership rating of 7.8%, maintaining its position as the No. 1 entertainment program in the same time slot for 148 consecutive weeks. (Nielsen Korea)
On the 6th (Sunday), the 300th episode of 'Bodongi,' featuring special MC Shinjia from the group Koyote, will broadcast, presenting spicy 'tiki-taka' exchanges as Lee Soon-sil captures attention by channeling goddess Jang Won-young with long hair.
Lee Soon-sil uses a pet clipper to attempt self-haircutting. Surprised by her unexpectedly skillful hairstyling, Jun Hyun-moo noted, "The hairstyle resembles a Bichon, so the pet clipper seems better suited," expressing admiration for her choice. However, Lee Soon-sil's issue isn't her hairstyle but hair loss. She skillfully applies laundry soap to wash her hair, followed by dish detergent. When Kim Sook is shocked, saying, "You wash your hair with laundry soap?" Lee Soon-sil insists, "Shampoo doesn't make a squeaky sound. In North Korea, everyone washed their hair with laundry soap." Amid concerns about the harshness, anchor Um Ji-in said, "It's too harsh," but Lee Soon-sil responds, "It’s not harsh. You should try it once," firmly sticking to her method.
The laundry soap used by Lee Soon-sil is covered in black hair, raising suspicions about her hair loss. Nevertheless, she stated, "I'm using dish detergent because my hair is falling out. In North Korea, we used laundry soap, so we didn’t have hair loss," adding that she has been stressed out due to excessive hair fall, causing concern among everyone.
Ultimately, Lee Soon-sil, who has chosen a wig, becomes immersed in the world of wigs, drawing laughter. Jun Hyun-moo couldn't hold back laughter, saying, "I thought you had a mushroom on your head. It looks like a poisonous mushroom." Lee Soon-sil, who chose the long hairstyle of Jang Won-young among the wigs, exclaimed, "Wow~ it's shiny," greatly satisfied with her Jang Won-young impersonation. In response, Jun Hyun-moo said, "You look like Chun-hyang," while Park Myung-soo added, "You look like Wol-mae, not Chun-hyang," unable to contain his laughter. Lee Soon-sil expressed satisfaction at seeing her look in a selfie app, declaring, "It's exactly like Jang Won-young."
However, when her husband, who is suffering from severe hair loss, wears a wig, Lee Soon-sil opposes, saying, "This is a capitalist hairstyle. It's too expensive; absolutely not," evoking sympathy for her husband.
It remains to be seen whether Lee Soon-sil, who has fallen into the harmful world of capitalist wigs due to stress-induced hair loss, can escape from harsh laundry soap and regain a healthy hairstyle in the main broadcast of 'Bodongi.'
