Members Wendy and Yeri of the girl group "Red Velvet" will leave their agency SM Entertainment. However, they have decided to continue their group activities elsewhere.

On the 4th, SM stated, "The exclusive contracts between the company and Wendy and Yeri have ended," adding, "The time spent with Wendy and Yeri, who have been active in various fields as solo artists as well as in group activities since debuting with Red Velvet, has been a great happiness for us."

SM also noted, "We will cherish all the moments we have built together and sincerely support Wendy and Yeri in their new beginnings."

They continued, "Wendy and Yeri are expected to participate in group activities as members of Red Velvet with us," and requested, "Please look forward to the ongoing journey of Red Velvet."

Since their debut in 2014, Red Velvet has released numerous hit songs, including "Happiness," "Ice Cream Cake," "Red Flavor," "Psycho," "Feel My Rhythm," "Queendom," and "Cosmic."
