Seventeen's Wonwoo begins his military service today (3rd) with the start of his training camp.

According to his agency, Pledis Entertainment, Wonwoo entered the training camp on the 3rd to fulfill his military duty. After receiving basic military training at the camp, Wonwoo is expected to fulfill his defense duty through alternative service.

On the 2nd, a day before his entry, Wonwoo expressed his feelings about enlisting through Weverse, saying, "Hello, Carats. I mentioned I'd come back on a day when my breath fogs up in front of my face while feeling really cold not long ago, but somehow it's already gotten a bit warmer," and added, "Time really seems to fly."

He continued, "However, that means the day we meet again will come back soon, so I hope Carats can stay excited rather than worried. Please take good care of the other members and stay healthy, and while doing your vacation homework, please listen carefully to the songs I've prepared."

Wonwoo also added, "I'll make sure to spend this brief pause well. I'm already looking forward to the next peak I will meet with Carats. I'm always grateful and love you all a lot." He also hinted in the comments that the two songs to be released soon are original songs, not cover songs.

Earlier, on the 5th of last month, the agency stated, "Wonwoo is expected to fulfill his military duty starting April 3. There will be no official events on the day of his entry into the training camp, and we ask that you refrain from visiting the alternative service duty site. We also ask that you leave your messages for Wonwoo on Weverse."

They added, "We ask for Carats' continued love and support so that Wonwoo can fulfill his military duty faithfully and return in even better health," and stated, "We will spare no effort in continuing to support Wonwoo."

With this, Wonwoo is set to become the second member of Seventeen to start military service, following Jeonghan, who entered on September 26 last year and is currently serving as a social service worker.
