Kim Soo-hyun's side refuted claims made by Sulli's older brother that Sulli (real name Choi Jin-ri) was forced to perform a bed scene with nudity during the filming of the 2017 movie 'Real.'
The agency, Gold Medalist, stated on the 2nd through a statement, "Actress Choi Jin-ri was aware of the bed scene in advance and prepared for the filming," and "When drafting the contract, provisions regarding the extent of nudity were specified separately. The actress and the agency thoroughly reviewed all the details before deciding to appear."
They clarified claims from the bereaved family that Sulli was made to shoot the scene directly even though there was a stand-in, saying, "There was a 'standing actor' who didn't perform as a stunt double but was present during the preparation phase to substitute the actress's movements."
They emphasized, "Persuading an actress on set to force a bed scene and a nude scene is something that could not happen in any production." To support this, they also revealed statements from the first assistant director and script supervisor of 'Real,' as well as parts of the 'Real' storyboard.
Earlier, Sulli's older brother, Choi, raised suspicions through social media accounts starting on the 21st of last month that the nudity scenes filmed by Sulli in 'Real' were not specifically disclosed in advance, and that she was persuaded on set to shoot them.
In the movie 'Real,' Kim Soo-hyun played the main character, and the director, Lee Roh-be, who is his relative, has drawn ongoing criticism directed at Kim Soo-hyun. Kim Soo-hyun's agency also noted, "The scenario, storyboard work, and filming are the domain of the production team, and Kim Soo-hyun, who participated in the project as an actress, has no relation to that."
These accusations were newly raised by Sulli's bereaved family after recent controversies about Kim Soo-hyun's private life surfaced, regarding his relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron, who was a minor.
Kim Soo-hyun's side contradicted suspicions regarding his relationship with Kim Sae-ron, which has continued for about a month, and showed a firm stance by filing additional lawsuits against Kim Se-ui, the operator of Garosero Research Institute (Gaseyeon). Kim Soo-hyun's side has already reported Gaseyeon for violations of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (distribution of filmed materials using cameras, etc.), as well as for threats, and has filed a significant damage compensation lawsuit.
Additionally, Kim Soo-hyun's side specifically refuted the context and relationships regarding the photos and messages released so far with Kim Sae-ron. They claimed that the photo of the two with their cheeks touching was taken after 2019 when both were adults. This photo was posted on Kim Sae-ron's Instagram account last year.
Regarding the KakaoTalk conversation from 2016 revealed by the attorney for Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family during a press conference, they stated, "Kim Soo-hyun did not send that Kakao message in 2016," adding, "The sender was a third party or it was manipulated." They also mentioned that while the content from 2018 was indeed a conversation between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron, they were not in a romantic relationship at that time.
Meanwhile, Sulli's older brother, Choi, appeared to accept the agency's position but raised further suspicions. He stated, "Based on multiple testimonies, I recognized that there was no coercion regarding the nudity scenes," but added, "However, if there were no issues during filming, why did director Lee Jeong-seop, who filmed over 80% of the scenes, leave the project midway? Please disclose this transparently."
