Park Han-byul’s father disclosed that he suffered due to the son-in-law incident.

On the 1st, Park Han-byul, an actor who had paused her activities in the entertainment industry, shared a story from the past six years that she couldn't even talk about with her family on TV Chosun's 'Dad and Me.'

Park Han-byul honestly stated, "I felt like there was nothing I could do. There was no way to resolve things. Did I really have to die for this to end? I think I thought about that a lot. I could hardly sleep. But I had to film."

Park Han-byul added, "I felt a heavy sense of responsibility as a wife due to my husband's work. Just appearing on a broadcasting program worried and scared me a lot. I think 'scared' is the right word. It’s something to be sorry for."

While in Jeju Island, Park Han-byul said, "My mom came along, and then my dad ended up coming too," revealing that the family gathered in Jeju, attracting attention. Park Han-byul’s father also mentioned, "I didn't ask more for fear of hurting anyone."

During a meal alone with her father, he began with, "After I retired, when that incident happened to you, I ended up developing social anxiety," Park Han-byul revealed that her father experienced both depression and social anxiety, stating that every day felt like hell. Her father added, "I didn't watch TV at home. It was no fun at all. You know, sometimes a person becomes numb?" referencing his lethargy.

Park Han-byul’s father said, "I didn't feel like eating or drinking. I had a lot of extreme thoughts. I lived behind the house and would wander around at 2-3 a.m. Would I jump off a high mountain?" revealing that his hope for life had been crushed.
