'Weak Hero Class 2' has confirmed its release date amid great anticipation.

On the 2nd, Netflix announced that the series 'Weak Hero Class 2' will be available on the 25th.

'Weak Hero Class 2' depicts the fierce survival story and brilliant coming-of-age tale of Yeon Si-eun (Park Ji-hoon), who transferred to Eunjang High School carrying the trauma of failing to protect a friend while fighting against violence for that friend, determined not to lose another.

Last year, the premiere of 'Weak Hero Class 1' on Wavve caused a sensation and marked a new milestone for the school action drama genre. Yeon Si-eun (Park Ji-hoon) broke out of his tough shell to build bonds with friends while learning to fight against harsh realities, a painful coming-of-age journey that resonated deeply, becoming many people's 'life work.' Thanks to the outstanding performances of rookie actors that maximized genre appeal, it recorded an incredible 45.5% share on OTT platforms and an impressive rating of 9.9, earning both artistic acclaim and public interest.

'Ahead of the release of 'Weak Hero Class 2,' the prestige of 'Weak Hero Class 1,' which met global viewers through Netflix on March 25, was remarkable. Shortly after its release, it ranked in the top 10 of 70 countries and rose to second place in the global top 10 series (non-English) category. According to Netflix's top 10 website, 'Weak Hero Class 1' recorded 6.7 million viewership hours (the number of viewers divided by the total running time), further amplifying anticipation for its sequel.

Above all, director Yoo Su-min, who led the success with a unique action that broke away from the typical school genre, and chief planner Han Jun-hee are once again joining forces to excite fans. The curiosity about the new characters and chemistry created by young actors, including Park Ji-hoon, Ryeo Woon, Choi Min-young, Yoo Soo-bin, Bae Na-ra, Lee Min-jae, and Lee Jun-young, is also intensifying.

As attention focuses on Park Ji-hoon's deepened performance in the life character 'Yeon Si-eun,' the teaser poster and teaser trailer released that day further ignite excitement. Although wounded, the determined light in his eyes hints at Yeon Si-eun's ongoing struggle. The phrase in the teaser poster, 'You must fight to protect,' stirs curiosity about the greater violence he will confront at the school he transferred to while carrying trauma.

The teaser trailer released alongside captures attention with the brutal survival story of a rebooted Yeon Si-eun. The self-deprecating voice added to the scene of Yeon Si-eun fiercely fighting against a mysterious opponent, Geum Seong-je (Lee Jun-young), saying, 'Su-ho, I fought again. I'm sorry,' is also troubling. In 'Class 1,' Yeon Si-eun broke out of his shell after meeting Ahn Su-ho (Choi Hyun-wook). However, the drooping shoulders and the loss of light in his eyes convey his wounded transformation. The deep scars of failing to protect a friend have made Yeon Si-eun lose his smile and become a 'voluntary outsider,' yet ominous rumors do not leave him alone.

It is also intriguing that new friends Park Hu-min (Ryeo Woon), Seo Jun-tae (Choi Min-young), and Ko Hyun-tak (Lee Min-jae) approach him, telling him not to care about the rumors. Yeon Si-eun, who felt more comfortable alone, gradually begins to open his heart to the friends who continue to knock and reach out to him. Yeon Si-eun's tearful remark, 'I had forgotten? That it feels good to have friends,' and his image of starting to walk alongside new friends is touching.

However, violence does not stop at Eunjang High School. The greater threats both inside and outside the school raise Yeon Si-eun's anger gauge, and the cold warning 'Don't cross the line' heightens the heartbeat of viewers. It remains to be seen how Yeon Si-eun's fierce survival story and brilliant coming-of-age tale, determined not to lose another friend while carrying trauma to Eunjang High School, will unfold.
