According to online communities, Yim Siwan originally followed 87 accounts, but as of the 1st, he organized his social media follows. They formed the '88 line' alongside G-Dragon, Kwanghee, Jung Hae-in, Lee Soo-hyuk, Yim Siwan, and Kim Soo-hyun, sparking fans' interest.
However, recently, Kim Soo-hyun has been embroiled in controversy over allegations that he dated the late Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor, which led to further controversy, and he had to leave 'Good Day' as the remaining footage was edited out. Subsequently, some of Yim Siwan's fans expressed concern over his relationship with Kim Soo-hyun amid the unfolding scandal.
Not only Yim Siwan but also actor Jung Hae-in, who is part of the '88 line' and has a close relationship with Kim Soo-hyun, also faced demands from some fans to 'unfollow.' Earlier, comedian and broadcaster Cho Sae-ho, who appeared on 'Good Day,' was accused of having unfollowed after the Kim Soo-hyun controversy, prompting him to state, 'I never followed from the beginning.'

Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun denied the allegations of dating Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor and held a press conference on the afternoon of the 31st of last month, filing a lawsuit for defamation amounting to 12 billion won against the late Kim Sae-ron's family, an unidentified person claiming to be an aunt, and the operator of the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute' for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
