Lee Ji-hoon, a lawyer from Law & More, which operates the YouTube channel "Lawyer I Know" with over 460,000 subscribers, analyzed the issues surrounding actor Kim Soo-hyun's press conference.
On Jan. 31, a video titled "Marriage Lessons for the Clueless | Kim Soo-hyun's Passionate Press Conference?" was posted on the YouTube channel "Lawyer I Know."
This lawyer stated that Kim Soo-hyun analyzed his statement point by point, identifying contradictions.
The lawyer noted regarding Kim Soo-hyun's allegations of dating the minor Go Se-ron and his denial, "This is unknown. They have conflicting claims," emphasizing the uncertain truth, and added, "It happens to be one year after he became an adult; I don't understand it, but it's not something I should understand. However, there's a question mark about Kim Soo-hyun's claim of having dated immediately after becoming an adult for a year. I think it's rather coincidental; can it really be that coincidental?"
He also expressed surprise at Kim Soo-hyun's statement, "It seems I have always made choices as the star Kim Soo-hyun whenever there was a conflict between the human Kim Soo-hyun and the star Kim Soo-hyun," saying, "Wow, this separates personality," and continued, "There is a separate star Kim Soo-hyun and a separate human Kim Soo-hyun; I was a bit shocked."
The lawyer pointed out, "Therefore, I was scared every day; I think the issue arises from the difference between the human Kim Soo-hyun and the star Kim Soo-hyun. This was his biggest problem."
He remarked, "Isn't this saying that the words and actions of the human Kim Soo-hyun and the words and actions of the star Kim Soo-hyun were different? Their lives were different," and added, "It’s natural to be concerned about the star Kim Soo-hyun, especially since the drama was airing. But if that’s the case, shouldn’t the human Kim Soo-hyun live differently? That’s my thought. He shouldn’t have behaved that way from the start. If the human Kim Soo-hyun thought, lived, acted, and spoke correctly, there wouldn’t be anything to fear. That’s where the gap arose."
Additionally, he pointed out, "But the human Kim Soo-hyun and the star Kim Soo-hyun were completely different, yet a choice is made as the star Kim Soo-hyun? That is the problem. Even after becoming a star, one should live that way. We evaluate this person based on the appearance of star Kim Soo-hyun, but it simply means the real life was not like that. I believe the statement was wrong. I think one should not write like this."
He also commented, "Thus, it’s natural to be scared every day. That’s because of living a fake life. Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun filed a lawsuit for damages, claiming approximately 12 billion won against the family of Go Se-ron and an unidentified individual referred to as an operator of a YouTube account. Due to the submission of the complaint, this controversy is likely to escalate into a legal battle rather than a public relations fight. Attention is now on how this incident will conclude, with both sides' positions sharply divided.
