KBS2 'Volunteer' donated the prize money from the match to a fund for wildfire recovery efforts.
The KBS2 'Volunteer', which will premiere on the evening of the 5th at 10:40 p.m., is a program that combines BALL (soccer ball) and VOLUNTEER, aimed at donating the prize money from matches to help those in need. In fact, 'Volunteer' has accumulated a total prize money of 11 million won during its YouTube era, and in the Lunar New Year special last year, it donated 10 million won to the National Cancer Center for childhood cancer treatment expenses.
Meanwhile, the 'Volunteer' team donated 16 million won of prize money to Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association for recovery and support for disaster victims in wildfire-affected areas. The 'Volunteer' team noted, "We hope this can provide some comfort to the local residents affected by this wildfire and to everyone working hard on-site for recovery," and conveyed a message of support as well.
On a related note, 'Volunteer' has declared its challenge to conquer the nationwide futsal league alongside its regular KBS programming. Intense matches against regional alliance teams, including the Seoul-Gyeonggi alliance team, Gangwon alliance team, Chungcheong-Jeolla alliance team, and Gyeongsang alliance team, are promised. With the return of 'People's Rooney' Jung Dae-se, there are expectations for his performance, while Lee Chan-won, who successfully debuted as a soccer commentator, will join to vividly convey the atmosphere on-site. The unyielding showdown against the Gyeongsang alliance team, the first opponent in the nationwide conquest, will be broadcast on the 5th (Saturday) at 10:40 p.m.
