The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on the 1st that the fandom of actor Byun Woo-seok (DC Byun Woo-seok Gallery) donated 30 million won for wildfire damage recovery.
Following actor Byun Woo-seok's donation of 100 million won for wildfire support on the 27th, the fandom voluntarily gathered funds to provide 30 million won.
The Byun Woo-seok fandom noted, "Following actor Byun Woo-seok's warm heart, we participated in the donation with the hope that it would provide small comfort and help to those suffering from wildfire damage."
Shin Hoon, the Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, expressed deep gratitude for Byun's sincere donation and the warm participation of his fandom, stating, "The donation will be used quickly and transparently for the recovery of wildfire-affected areas and the relief of disaster victims."
Meanwhile, Hope Bridge is currently providing more than 440,000 relief supplies, including relief kits, partitions for shelters, blankets, daily necessities, bottled water, and food items, and is also continuing various field activities such as laundry support in shelters and meal support for firefighters and on-site rescue teams.
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association is a disaster relief fundraising institution established in 1961 by media organizations and social groups nationwide. Its main activities include emergency disaster relief, fundraising and distribution of public donations, community recovery after disasters, and support for disaster-vulnerable groups. To date, it has supported 1.6 trillion won in donations and more than 60 million items of relief supplies.
