Writer Kim Eun-hee mentioned Season 2 of 'Signal' on 'Questions.'
On the 1st, writer Kim Eun-hee stated on MBC's 'Questions,' 'It took nine years from 'Signal' to Season 2. Just because I write the script doesn’t mean it will happen. There are the actors' schedules and various complicated processes. We are currently preparing for 'The Second Signal.'
He continued, 'Originally, the goal was to finish the script and appear on 'Questions.' I tend to fix the front while writing the back of the script. I'm currently writing episodes 7 and 8. All three main characters will remain the same. Another element of 'Signal' is the walkie-talkie.'
Kim Eun-sook, who is a close friend, told Kim Eun-hee, 'If you ended 'Signal' like that, shouldn’t you write the next one?' Kim Eun-sook said, 'If you can't write melodrama, I can be your assistant writer, so you must write Season 2.' Watching the plastic bag scene from 'Signal,' I thought, 'Kim Eun-hee is a genius.'
Lee Jay-hoon, who appeared in 'Signal,' said, 'It showed a side of humanity that wants to crumble and give up, overcoming it and demonstrating the power to catch the culprit. It was moving every time. I wondered what the power to write such stories is. The writer has a lot of interest in people. The thoughts on how to empathize with the hearts of those in pain and how to turn that heart into hope are conveyed in the writing. As an actor, the desire to act better also ignited,' he smiled.
