Global hip-hop star Travis Scott will visit South Korea for the first time for a solo concert this October.
Travis Scott is a rapper, songwriter, producer, performer, designer, style icon, and actor who exerts significant influence globally across various fields, including music, fashion, film, and culture. He is well-loved as an artist who has set contemporary hip-hop trends with his innovative and experimental sound, characterized by dreamy flow and singing rap complemented by autotune.
His debut album, [Rodeo] (2015), which includes the single 'Antidote' that ranked 16th on the Billboard Singles Chart, reached number one on the Billboard Rap Albums Chart, and his second album, [Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight] (2016), featuring 'goosebumps' with Kendrick Lamar, achieved the remarkable feat of topping the Billboard Albums Chart in its first week.
The third studio album, [ASTROWORLD], released in 2018, combined elements of trap and psychedelia, garnering critical acclaim while achieving commercial success by topping the Billboard Albums Chart for three weeks. It included 'SICKO MODE (ft. Drake),' which marked his first number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and all tracks from the album entered the singles chart, culminating in winning the BET Hip Hop Award for Album of the Year.
His fourth album, [UTOPIA] (2023), also received widespread acclaim, topping the Billboard Albums Chart for four consecutive weeks and achieving its first number one on the UK Chart, becoming the best-selling hip-hop album of the year. All 19 songs from the album entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart, accumulating over 50 billion streams worldwide. The latest single, '4x4,' released earlier this year, also debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in its first week.
Travis Scott is achieving great success in large-scale performances and tours with dynamic and energetic performances, iconic stage setups, visual art, and special effects. This upcoming concert is part of the 'CIRCUS MAXIMUS' tour that followed the release of the [UTOPIA] album. The 'CIRCUS MAXIMUS' world tour, which started in October 2023, has attracted approximately 1.7 million spectators through 76 sold-out performances across North America, Europe, Central and South America, Australia, and New Zealand, generating a record-breaking revenue of $209.3 million, making it the highest-grossing rap tour in history.
