'Celebrity soldier's secret' Lee Chan-won shed tears while reminiscing about Song Hae.
On the 1st, KBS 2TV's entertainment program 'Celebrity soldier's secret' highlighted the life and death of the 'national MC' Song Hae, who passed away at the age of 95.
Lee Chan-won revealed that when he stood on stage as a guest singer for the National Singing Contest, the late Master Song Hae was no longer in this world, becoming emotional. Lee Chan-won conveyed his feelings by saying, “He is someone I love to the extent that I consider him my grandfather.”
Regarding the day Song Hae passed away, his grandson-in-law said, “I think it was around 9 a.m. when I arrived. He was found slightly leaning against the back of the bathroom door, so there was less likelihood of a fall. There were no signs of struggle, and he hadn’t taken a shower. The estimated time of death was around 2 to 3 a.m. I heard he passed away due to a myocardial infarction.”
At the end of the broadcast, Lee Chan-won expressed his longing for Song Hae, saying, “In heaven, I hope you are reunited with your beloved mother, wife, and son. I wish to see you so much.”
