Actor Kim Soo-hyun expressed his distress over being threatened during a press conference, shedding tears, while Gaseyeon continued to make claims by releasing new videos and photos. It remains uncertain how long this mudslinging will continue.
Kim Soo-hyun has completely denied allegations regarding his relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron, who was a minor, and claims of debt pressure, while Gaseyeon started again by saying, "We will release additional videos of their dating, including a shot from 2018 when Kim Sae-ron was a second-year high school student sipping soju on a date and a video of her sleeping on a bed taken during the same year.
Gaseyeon said, "Even so, when we said we would attend the press conference yesterday, the bereaved family thought there would be a sincere public apology, and we told them not to release any more videos last night," adding, "But I knew this would happen; I thought we had to prepare for anything.'
This refers to the press conference held on the 31st, where attorney Kim Jong-bok from law firm LK Partners and actor Kim Soo-hyun conducted a press briefing. Kim Soo-hyun emphasized again that the claims made by the bereaved family about his relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron during her minor years are "not true," asserting that the KakaoTalk messages and videos presented by Gaseyeon are manipulated. He stated, "To prove this fact, I submitted the KakaoTalk messages I exchanged with acquaintances from 2016, 2018, and this year for scientific analysis to a verification agency," adding, "The conclusion reached by the agency is that the individuals from 2016 and 2018 are not the same person."
Kim Soo-hyun continued to reveal that he is being threatened while emotionally expressing his position with tears. With recognition and apology not being offered but continued lawsuits and rebuttals expected to last a long time, Gaseyeon also stated that day, "The amount of data is vast; it could last 3 to 4 years," before releasing a video taken on June 20, 2018, at 11:20 p.m., showing Kim Soo-hyun on a soju date after returning from military leave. They also released past footage of Kim Sae-ron, who was attending a cooking academy at that time, which showed soju glasses placed on the table.
Gaseyeon stated, "This is not the only video," and released another video taken on the early morning of June 21, 2018. They claimed, "It was a night spent awake; this is a follow-up video," arguing, "If they weren’t dating, it’s grooming. What were you doing drinking with a minor until the early morning?" Gaseyeon added, "There are other videos; how long will you keep lying?" saying that while the bereaved family asked for everything to be disclosed, they aimed to show it piece by piece, saying, "If you don’t want to go to the terrifying hell, make a sincere apology."
In particular, Gaseyeon said, "We have five mobile phones and four laptops; stop lying now," and released a photo of Kim Sae-ron lying in what they claim is Kim Soo-hyun's bed, adding, "There are many photos and videos; we are only releasing the ones that are comparatively less intense for the sake of Kim Sae-ron's honor."
Meanwhile, attorney Kim Jong-bok, who attended with Kim Soo-hyun, stated at the press conference that they submitted a complaint against the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron and the operators of Gaseyeon for violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and that they filed a lawsuit for damages amounting to 12 billion won at the Seoul Central District Court.
In this regard, Gaseyeon stated on the same day about the 12 billion won lawsuit, "We are not scared at all; we know Kim Soo-hyun is watching this broadcast," and added, "I have one thing to say to Kim Soo-hyun: submit your complaint immediately, and I hope you file a criminal complaint. If you don’t, it shows a lack of sincerity."
