BTS's V donated funds for wildfire recovery.

The Korean Red Cross (Chairman Kim Cheol-soo) announced on the 31st that BTS's V has donated 200 million won to support the victims of the recent major wildfires and the firefighters dedicated to the scene.

Of this donation, 100 million won will be used for emergency relief activities and recovery support for victims in wildfire-affected areas such as Sangcheongun in Gyeongnam, Uiseonggun in Gyeongbuk, and Ulju-gun in Ulsan.

The remaining 100 million won will be utilized for support projects aimed at the recovery and improved treatment of firefighters who have worked diligently to extinguish the fires and rescue lives.

BTS's V said, “I extend deep respect to all those who have suffered due to the sudden disaster, including the firefighters, rescue personnel, and volunteers who are risking their lives and tirelessly working on the front lines. When I saw the news during evening roll call while serving in the military, I felt very uneasy, and thinking that some of my comrades may have family members who were affected made me even more concerned.

Fortunately, the wildfire has been nearly extinguished, but I hope there will be no more human casualties, and I wish that my donation can provide a small amount of help,” he added.

Chairman Kim Cheol-soo of the Korean Red Cross expressed gratitude, saying, “I deeply appreciate this valuable donation for the safety and lives of the people,” and added, “We will execute the donation transparently and responsibly to ensure it can be a practical help to the victims and firefighters.”
