Global artist Jennie has received the honor of being the first K-pop solo artist to win at the American music awards 'Billboard’s Women in Music.'

Jennie attended 'Billboard’s Women in Music 2025' held on the 29th (local time) at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, where she received the 'Global Force Award.'

After receiving the 'Global Force Award,' Jennie expressed her gratitude to her fans, saying, "It is truly an honor and a pride to receive the 'Global Force Award' in a place filled with beautiful women who inspire many. I am inspired by women all over the world and want to be someone who can have a positive influence on many people in the future."

'Billboard’s Women in Music' is an awards ceremony that recognizes the top female artists, creators, producers, and executives who have had a significant impact on the music industry throughout the year. Previously, Billboard introduced Jennie by stating, "The distinctive Jennie has been recognized for her explosive global influence since starting her solo activities."

Recently, Jennie has created a global phenomenon by continuously breaking records with her first solo studio album 'Ruby.' 'Ruby' has charted for two consecutive weeks on the U.S. Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200,' and the title track 'Like Jennie' has entered the top 10 of both the Billboard 'Global (excluding U.S.)' chart and 'Global 200' chart for two consecutive weeks.

In addition, with 'Ruby,' Jennie entered the U.K. Official Album Chart 'TOP 100' at No. 3 (dated March 14), setting the best record for K-pop female solo artists and becoming the first K-pop artist to remain on that chart for three consecutive weeks this year.

Meanwhile, Jennie will grant performances as a solo artist at the largest music festival in the U.S., the 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival,' on April 13 and 20.
