Singer Yoonha reportedly held a private wedding, with the news stating that her husband is the YouTuber "Science Cookie."
On the 31st, Yoonha's agency C9 Entertainment expressed, "We kindly ask for your understanding as we cannot confirm details regarding Yoonha’s husband due to privacy matters."
Previously, a media outlet reported that Yoonha married the famous science YouTuber Science Cookie at a hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 30th.
Currently, "Science Cookie," who has approximately 440,000 subscribers, is a former physics teacher and obtained a master's degree in engineering in science journalism from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 2024. He mainly covers topics in physics such as relativity, quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, classical mechanics, and thermodynamics. His YouTube series was selected as an excellent science cultural product by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science & Creativity in 2018.
Notably, Yoonha has also expressed her interest in space and science, earning the nickname "Goddess of Space." In fact, among Yoonha's hit songs are several with lyrics and titles related to space and science, including "Event Horizon," "Oort Cloud," "Shooting Star," and "Comet."
As a result, Yoonha and Science Cookie grew closer through their shared interest in science and became romantically involved, eventually leading to their marriage. However, the agency has cautiously communicated that information about her husband is considered "the artist's privacy."
Meanwhile, Yoonha posted a handwritten letter in the official fan cafe last May, directly announcing her marriage. She stated, "I have met a reliable partner in life and have gotten married. Thank you for genuinely worrying about my well-being for a long time and continually sending love. I will now support and encourage your life as a stronger and more stable Yoonha."
