The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on the 29th that actor Lee Jay-hoon donated 100 million won for restoration efforts following the wildfire damage in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan.

Lee Jay-hoon stated to Hope Bridge, "I'm really relieved that it seems the wildfires are being extinguished," and expressed hope that "this will help those affected return to their daily lives, even just a little."

As a member of the "Hope Bridge Honors Club," which promotes a culture of giving during disasters, Lee Jay-hoon previously donated 100 million won to support the victims of a major wildfire that affected the eastern coast in 2022. Additionally, he has long served as a goodwill ambassador for an international relief and development organization, and he is also registered as a major donor with various organizations, making him a representative actor who practices warm acts of kindness.

Also, Lee Jay-hoon, who has served as an Oxfam goodwill ambassador since 2015, was named the first sponsor of the Oxfam Honors Club, which includes major donors contributing over 100 million won, in 2023.

Shin Hoon, secretary general of Hope Bridge, said, "We sincerely thank Lee Jay-hoon for his warm support," and added, "We will stand by the affected neighbors until the end so that warmth can seep into their lives."

Meanwhile, Hope Bridge has provided 450,000 items of relief supplies, including emergency kits, partition walls for evacuation shelters, blankets, daily necessities, bottled water, and food to the wildfire-affected areas and continues to offer meals for firefighters and laundry relief activities at the shelters.

The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association is a disaster relief fundraising agency established in 1961 by media organizations and social groups across the nation. Its main activities include emergency disaster relief, fundraising and distribution of public donations, recovery of local communities after disasters, and support for vulnerable groups affected by disasters. To date, it has supported 1.6 trillion won in donations and more than 60 million relief supplies.
