Actor Song Il-gook reveals a beloved local restaurant touched by General Kim Du-han.
On the 29th, in the 4th episode of the ENA entertainment program 'Choi Hwa-jung and Kim Ho-young's I Missed You' (abbreviated as I Missed You), parenting veteran triplet dad Song Il-gook will appear as a guest and share updates on his sons, Daehan, Minguk, and Manse, who have grown up immensely.
First, MC Choi Hwa-jung and Kim Ho-young, who entered a restaurant famous as a favorite of Song Il-gook's late maternal grandfather, the late Kim Du-han, are left speechless by its grandeur. It is also a place filled with childhood memories of young Song Il-gook. Especially, the main dish is Seolleongtang made with bone broth simmered for 12 hours, which encapsulates the taste of 120 years of history in a single bowl, evoking admiration.
Moreover, the Seolleongtang, boasting a long history, is served in a traditional earthenware bowl with a spoon, preserving the old-fashioned method and captivating the cast with its non-greasy, mild flavor. Additionally, a platter of four types of meat, which are rarely tasted, will be presented, showcasing an artistic feast of flavors.
Meanwhile, Song Il-gook unravels a collection of episodes intertwined with the puberty of his triplet sons, now middle school students. He notes that the youngest, Manse, has become increasingly irritable due to academic stress, yet he shows deep empathy, indicating that he disliked studying just as much when he was young like Manse. He also humorously remarks that Manse, not inclined toward studying, resembles him, while Daehan and Minguk, who are quite sharp, take after their mother, humorously acting out Manse’s explosion of frustration during puberty, making everyone burst into laughter.
Song Il-gook is known to speak less in general. He reveals that after replacing his busy wife, he has become active in the green parents' association and, entering the sixth year as a parent representative, he has naturally become more outgoing, surprising everyone. Moreover, it has been suggested that he should take on the role of president, generating interest in whether he will accept the offer.
Meanwhile, Song Il-gook will also share the heartwarming true story of how he paid off debts through the drama 'Hae-sin.' According to Song Il-gook, his grandfather Kim Du-han's memorial hall is the largest in scale overseas among monuments, which required an enormous expense. This situation even led to him needing to vacate his rental room. However, thanks to his passionate performance despite playing a villain, he received a flood of commercial film offers and ultimately paid off his debts. The show will air at 9:40 p.m. on the 29th.
