Actor Ji Chang-wook donated 100 million won for the victims of the forest fire and firefighters.

Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) announced on the 28th that actor Ji Chang-wook donated 100 million won for the recovery from the forest fire damage in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan, and to support the firefighters.

Ji Chang-wook expressed through his agency, "I hope this donation will be of some help to neighbors affected by the forest fire," and conveyed, "I wanted to express my gratitude to the firefighters who are dedicated at disaster scenes."

Through this donation, Ji Chang-wook was appointed as a member of the "Hope Bridge Honors Club," a personal high-value donor group of Hope Bridge, and has committed to pay more attention to supporting disaster-affected neighbors and vulnerable populations in disaster and to promoting the culture of giving.

Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, noted, "We deeply appreciate Ji Chang-wook's sincerity in sharing pain and sharing together," and added, "The donated funds will be used carefully for the daily recovery of neighbors affected by the forest fire and for supporting firefighters."

Hope Bridge has supported about 450,000 items of relief supplies including relief kits, partitioning for shelters, blankets, daily necessities, bottled water, and food, and continues to assist with meals for firefighters and laundry relief activities in shelters.

Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association is a disaster relief fundraising organization established in 1961 by media companies and social organizations across the nation. Its main activities include emergency disaster relief, fundraising and distribution of public donations, recovery of local communities after disasters, and support for vulnerable populations in disasters. To date, it has provided 1.6 trillion won in donations and over 60 million items of relief supplies.
