Members of NewJeans, who have been hindered in their solo activities due to the court's ruling to grant the provisional injunction, revealed the reasons for discontinuing their "NJZ" activities.

On the 26th, BBC News Korea released a video titled "NewJeans, reasons for stopping NJZ activities" through its official YouTube channel.

In the video, Hanni noted, "The decisions we have made over the past year have all been the result of tremendous discussions within us. To be honest, I find it uncomfortable to keep bringing this up. It includes stories from other teams, and we do not want to influence that team in any way. There is no reason or need for that. If we do not express our thoughts and feelings publicly, people will not know. I think people would only believe what is reported in the media."

Jimin added, "There are moments when we have to raise our voices, and many places cover our stories, which was obviously scary and it is something I am deeply concerned about in my life going forward."

The production team asked, "In this situation, there are also claims that adults are influencing things from behind. How much have you pondered and decided with respect to the legal implications?" Hanni replied, "I think that because we are young, in some respects, people take lightly the fact that we are actually trying to do something to resolve this issue. People easily say, 'They are young,' 'They would not decide on their own,' but that does not mean we are taking this situation less seriously or deliberating less. We always told each other, 'If even one of us does not want to, we will not do it.' We could only make a choice when all five of us agreed."

Daniel continued, "In 2024, while I was going through this situation, I tried to suppress everything quietly. I tried to ignore what was happening around me while suppressing my emotions. Because when this situation started, we were preparing for a comeback. But at some point, the suppressed emotions reached a breaking point. And it broke my heart."

The five members stood in front of the camera again after the court granted the provisional injunction. Daniel stated regarding the injunction, "I truly expected a different outcome, but I remember everyone who saw the news was shocked," and Haein noted, "Some people might think we are famous and can do whatever we want and say whatever we want. We have been enduring a lot, and now we have finally raised our voices about the unfairness we faced, but honestly, from a societal perspective, the situation is not flowing in our favor. However, I believe that the situation itself reflects that fact. We spoke up with tremendous courage."

In particular, Daniel emphasized, "We just want to continue working. We want to keep doing what we love without being hindered, without lies and misunderstandings," while Hanni added, "Our biggest fear is that we might not be able to continue this work. So we keep moving forward. But this fear always lingers in a corner of our minds. Anything can happen, and we never expected to go through this kind of situation until two years ago. We do not know what the future might hold. There may come a time when we can no longer be active, and we really want to avoid that."

Meanwhile, on the 21st, the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Agreement Division 50, presided by Chief Judge Kim Sang-hoon, accepted the provisional injunction filed by ADOR against the five members of NewJeans regarding the 'protection of agency status and prohibition of advertising contracts.'

According to the decision document, the court found that: ▲the gap in producing caused by the dismissal of ADOR's CEO Min Hee-jin, ▲the statement by HYBE's CEO Park Ji-won that "Kim Min-ji and others will be given a long vacation," ▲the dispute between director Shin Woo-seok from Dolphin Kidnapping Team and ADOR, ▲the phrase "You can discard the new and create a new one" included in HYBE's May 10, 2023, music industry report, ▲the harm to NewJeans' uniqueness by ILLIT under Belift Lab, ▲Hanni hearing from a manager under Belift Lab to 'ignore,' ▲the leaks of photos and videos from the trainee days of Kim Min-ji and others, ▲comments made by the PR person at HYBE undermining NewJeans' achievements, ▲NewJeans' accomplishments being undervalued due to HYBE's album-pushing practices, and ▲HYBE's CSO Lee Jae-sang stating, 'I am considering damaging NewJeans' brand value by going as far as ruining Min Hee-jin and NewJeans together.' The court concluded that the claims and evidence submitted by Kim Min-ji and others were insufficient to determine that ADOR had violated its essential obligations under the exclusive contract.

In response, the legal representatives of the five members filed an objection. They also warned, "The dissemination of false information and malicious slander, as well as derogatory postings, are at a serious level," indicating strong measures against online bullies.
